Want to know how to make perfect hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot? This simple formula will give you perfect, fluffy, easiest to peel eggs EVERY time. Hard boiled eggs will keep in the refrigerator for 1 week. I make 1-2 dozen at the beginning of the week and use them for pretty much everything - quick breakfasts, snacks, lunch additions, salad toppers, etc.
Place the rack in the bottom of the pot. Pour 1 cup of water in the pot. Place the eggs on the rack. Press the MANUAL setting for 5 minutes. Make sure the valve is set to natural release. Once the eggs have come to pressure and cooked for 5 minutes the alarm will sound. Let the pressure release naturally for 3 minutes. Then take a rag and move the valve to quick release. Put the rag over the steam so it doesn't get everywhere. When the pin drops, you can open it!
Immediately place the eggs in a bowl of ice cold water and let them cool off for 2-3 minutes. When you're ready, crack and peel the eggs. Rinse them off and place them in a gallon sized ziplock bag for storage for the week. You'll notice the shells just fall off! SO easy!!
Once they are all peeled and cooled off, close up the bag and put them in your fridge for quick meals throughout the week! So simple and easy and totally worth the 10 minutes of prep time to have them done for the week!
