Shabby Chic Baby Shower

This weekend I was honored to co-host a baby shower for one of my sweetest friends. She is having her third baby, BUT it's her first GIRL <3 We all know how FUN it is to shop for all the precious little girl clothes and room decor, so that mixed with my LOVE for event planning... hosting this was a no brainer!!

Myself and the other co-host found the most perfect area located near us called The Inn at Serenbe. It was tucked away in a perfect country setting for a beautiful shower. The room was in an old restored barn and it was the perfect size for our intimate baby shower. Plus we were surrounded by gorgeous scenery.

The shower was themed around the colors for the baby's nursery - mint, coral and gold. We worked around the color families since there aren't a ton of options {decor wise} out there, plus it forced us to get a little creative. We both love hosting events like this and enjoy using our creative side this way, so this was a lot of fun for us to put together!

We used burlap runners on each table for some extra color and texture and fresh picked hydrangas to go in the mason jars on each table. We used a gold bird cage as our card holder and we had each guest fill out a "wishes for baby" card for our mom-to-be to keep. Any other decor we either made ourselves or purchased at local stores for the mom-to-be to take home and use in the baby's nursery. I will say this... there's something about having FRESH flowers around! It really makes a HUGE difference!

For the food we tried to keep it simple, yummy and brunch like. We hosted the shower from 11a-1p, so we wanted to provide food that wouldn't be heavy and extremely filling but still keep you full for brunch.

We had ::

Ice water with cucumbers on the side
Pink Party Punch
Morning Brunch Punch
Homemade cupcakes
Fruit kabobs
Fruit & yogurt parfait bar
Chicken Salad Croissants
Variety of bagels with cream cheese

Brittany (pictured left) and I (pictured right) were so thrilled and honored to co-host this shower for our sweet friend Jamie (pictured middle). God definitely brought us together and I am so thankful that he did! Can't wait to love on sweet Emmy when she arrives in just a few weeks! <3
