Crockpot Salsa Chicken

Spicing up a classic favorite around here for dinner tonight! Have you tried crockpot salsa chicken yet? If not, you're seriously missing out. HUGE flavor, super easy and makes taco night at home a breeze!

What do you need?

Crockpot
Chicken breasts - frozen or thawed
Your favorite salsa

What can you add?

ANYTHING! The possibilities are ENDLESS! Tonight I'm adding fresh cilantro and corn.



How do you make it?

Pour half the salsa on the bottom of the crockpot and place the chicken on top. Top the chicken with the remaining salsa. Top with whatever extras you want {herbs, seasonings, corn, beans, etc}.

Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours.

When chicken is fully cooked, shred with a fork and stir all of the chicken into the yumminess in the crockpot. Serve however you like! We typically do tacos or taco salads.



I typically make my own salsa or stick with a store brand I know we like, but this week I saw this at the store and decided to give it a try. It's medium on the heat scale and it's definitely got a kick! I found this at our local Publix. I used almost the full jar, but reserved some in case we wanted to top our tacos with it.
