2014: What A Year!

365 days ago, I had no idea what to expect of 2014. We had a 2 year old and a 6 month old (who wasn't sleeping... at all) and I was desperately searching for something that would help me fill the void that God placed in my heart. I knew He wanted me to help myself and to help others, but I had no idea what that looked like.

In January I started my first online health and fitness accountability group as a challenger and I immediately knew THIS is what God had intended for me. I jumped in with both feet and didn't look back. I've grown a very successful business, from home, while I can be with my two kiddos and help others AND financially contribute to our household. Win, win, win!!

We have been through some HUGE ups and downs. Especially with our oldest being diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech and being thrown into the world of constant speech therapy appointments. He has made so much improvement since the beginning of the year. We could not be more proud of him!! He was practically non-verbal 12 months ago and now I hear him say, "I love you so big!" every night before bed <3

Andrew turned 29 this year and we celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. We spent a week at the beach with all our family {mini reunion}. That was Brynlee's first beach trip! We had such a wonderful time! Then I had the opportunity to go to Vegas for the annual Beachbody coach Summit event. This not only changed my business but impacted my life in ways I'll never forget. That was my first time away from either of my babies... ever! Andrew stayed with them and took fantastic care of them.. but he got a taste of my everyday life as a SAHM!

Then in the summer we celebrated Brynlee's first birthday and my 27th Birthday! We decided to take an impromptu trip to Walt Disney World and we had a BLAST! The kids absolutely loved every second and it's something that we will continue to make part of our family vacation rotation!

We also had to make the tough decision to let our little girl have surgery. Brynlee had been battling ear infections back to back to back and wasn't responding to medications anymore. As a parent, there is nothing harder than handing over your baby knowing she will be put to sleep for surgery. I've never been so upset, anxious, worried and overall a complete basket case in my life. Thankfully everything went PERFECTLY and within 30 minutes I was holding my sweet girl again and within another hour we were headed back home!

This fall we had a huge family shift as Andrew left his night shift job {that he had been working since before we got engaged!} and started working a new job with Cancer Treatment Centers of America on day shift! What a HUGE blessing for us. It has completely changed how our family dynamic operates and the kids finally get more one-on-one time with Daddy. Mason started Pre-2K and has grown and changed SO much. He loves going to school and he's made friends with some sweet kids who have fabulous mamas who have become some of my new best friends!

Mason turned three in October and had a huge speech growth spurt. He went from one word communication, to two word phrases, to three.. and now we're up to five for some phrases! MAJOR progress! We had a low-key family/close friends celebration for him and he got to break open his first piƱata!

We wrapped up the year with one of my best friends, Cassie getting hitched at a BEAUTIFUL outdoor wedding! She married the love of her life and seeing her blissfully happy always makes my heart happy <3 I traveled to Clearwater, FL for a weekend with other top coaches in Beachbody. I had the opportunity to learn from the absolute best in the business and get professional photos taken. I will be forever thankful for these women who have become some of my very best friends/family.

We celebrated all the holidays - Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and have soaked up every moment watching the magic of the seasons through the eyes of our kids.

We have been through speech evaluations, teething, crawling, cruising, walking, running, major growth spurts, surgery for tubes, speech progress {for both kids!}, sicknesses - chronic infections, colds, flu, bronchitis, more speech evaluations, new speech therapists, school, new friends and friends that became family. All in all, we had a fantastic year!

I am absolutely thrilled for everything 2015 will have to offer. We have some majorly, humongous personal goals for ourselves, our family and my business. I am sooo excited to get started and take 2015 by STORM!!

Key words that come to mind when I think of the upcoming year - all-star, work, personal development, advancement, quality time, retreats, TRIPS, birthdays, goals, dreams, vision, diamonds, weight loss, more TRIPS, financial freedom, hustle, heart, change, elite, parties, friendships, growth.

I cannot wait!! I hope you have had a wonderful 2014 and I wish all the best for you in the new year!! Stay tuned for some uh-may-zing stuff in the next 365 days! <3
